Howdy – my name is Solomon Bisker, and I live in Somerville, Massachusetts, outside of lovely Boston.
I aim to create engaging and inspiring technological experiences with a blend of computer science, interaction design, and user experience research.
I recently completed a Masters of Tangible Interaction Design at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). The Masters of Tangible Interaction Design (MTID) is a brand new interdisciplinary offering which focuses on the design and making of interactive objects and environments.
Before coming to CMU, I lived in Boston, Massachusetts, where I worked as an interaction designer for a consulting firm in the transportation sector and received a BS (2006) and M.Eng (2008) in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Before THAT, I had a rather nerdy childhood in Buffalo, New York, where computers kept me warm on snowy days.
My personal interests include a cappella, movies, Kurt Vonnegut, doing random stuff around wherever I am, and talking people into doing random stuff with me.
I am extremely fortunate to have an older sister, Esther, in medical school, and a mother and father both in medicine. I am also extremely fortunate to have bucked the medicine trend in my family.
